50 Shades of Grey or bondage style Boudoir Photography
To be honest, years ago when 50 Shades of Grey was so popular, I tried to read it! Sorry, I just could not get into the story. However, there are certain inquiries at Heights Boudoir that it is pretty obvious others have read this novel! Which brings me to the more erotic spectrum of Boudoir Photography! If a bondage style portrait session appeals to the inner vixen in you, I have a few ideas!
Now that there have been two movies dedicated to this story, it is no wonder that there is some interest in this theme. The best part of our style here at Heights Boudoir is that we can customize a portrait session that adheres to the client’s vision.
If you are thinking about the steamier side of boudoir, here are a few suggestions! However, for a more complete blog on getting ready for a boudoir session, try this Guide to Preparing.
Stockings
Lace stockings not only help your legs look lovely, they spell sexy without much effort at all. If you want it to look a little more lady like, select a pair with a bit of lace on the top. Also, if this is a bridal boudoir session, consider white stockings! Whether you select the silicone topped stockings or go for the garter belt type, stockings are sure to spice up your boudoir portraiture. Keep in mind, that shorter, curvier bodies can have a difficult time sporting stockings in some poses. At Heights Boudoir we are going to be sure and place you in poses that are going to flatter your legs in the very best light!
Blindfold
One very important goal at Heights Boudoir in Houston, is to capture a beautiful portrait of your gorgeously made up face! Adding a sexy lace blindfold can deliver a very mysterious touch to your boudoir portraits. While a sleeping style mask with lace around the edges is very sexy, I prefer the lace style that is see through so as not to obscure your lovely long eye lashes!
Mask
If your inner sexy is channeling a bit of the dominatrix, consider a mask. A leather mask transforms that bit of mysterious offered by the blindfold into a very edgy, sexy look! If you select a full mask that also covers part of your head, we will save these shots for last! We definitely want to be able to get those lovely eyes with the mask on! And don’t forget the great props that go so well with a mask (see below).
Bondage Props
For the more conservative, a little black ribbon can convey the idea. However, handcuffs send a very clear message! If handcuffs aren’t bondage enough for you, consider rope! The fine art of shibari. Shibari is a Japanese word that translates into “decoratively tie.” Kinbaku is another Japanese term for the artistic or erotic tying. Furthermore, those thigh high black leather boots will look killer with these bondage type props!
Never fear that your boudoir session will be over the top – unless that is exactly what you are looking for! At Heights Boudoir our photography is never explicit! However, we are all for celebrating your sexy self – shamelessly! Some women will do their initial boudoir session all sweet and sexy. Elegantly posed, and just suggestive enough! However, women sometimes come back for a second shoot with a few new ideas – and really channel their inner Anastasia!
